24" iMac Turns Itself Off

Hi guys. Well, last night I opened Firefox and my iMac went black after just a few seconds. I clicked around to see if maybe for some reason my computer went to sleep, but nothing happened. I clicked the power button and it rebooted, and since, whenever I open Firefox or Safari, it just turns itself off. It isn't limited to Firefox or Safari though, it's also turned off when my phone was plugged in and iPhoto opened, as well as a few times while running iTunes. If anybody has any info or advice, please let me know!

I also have this same exact problem with my new 24inch imac, it has happenned twice and both times while i was using firefox, but that may be urelated. please help! :confused:
