yeah...sigh...I guess I've always known I'd be a trendsetter...That 1st gen iPod just proves it.

1st gen iPod here, too. When I got it in December 2001, I told my friends "Look at this - it's the coolest thing I've ever had." I'm glad the rest of the world is finally catching up.

Now, let's do something about Windows...

Yeah, I got mine in December 2001, as well. I remember taking it on a trip in the summer of 2002 and having everyone drool over it. At that point, it was already becoming a desirable product among technophiles, but now, wow, it's a classic. I'm definitely never getting rid of it. It's going to be remembered as a milestone in the development of consumer technology, at least as it pertains to the music industry.

On the note no one has hit yet, I love this column's style of writing. It's just fun to read. Hilarious and true.
