View Full Version : Flu making me dizzy?
TSE

I've been home sick since Wednesday and am still sick with what I am guessing is the flu. I have a headache, sore throat, and was vomiting for a little bit but not anymore. I haven't gone to the doctor because when I called they basically told me to stay home and regularly take cough syrup while drinking lots of fluids, they have too many people calling in for the flu already.
I am feeling extremely dizzy too, is this normal?

You must be sick! This is the buying tips forum ;)
When in doubt, see a doctor.

Yes, it can be normal to be dizzy.
It is NOT normal to ask medical advice on a computer forum. Seek medical advice from your doctor's office.

With all of your medical topics you post here at MacRumors, you really need to go and see a doctor rather than asking us.

Nervous, throwing up, anxious, eye problems, acne, eye infections and the flu. I'd go see this dude ASAP.

Sounds like flu to me.
Just follow the directions they gave you.
There is very little that they will do for you at the doctors office.
If it get anyway or you get very SOB then you should go see your doctor.
Otherwise, you'll prob just need to ride the flu out like everyone else in the world

If your dizziness is really bad you should see a doctor (don't drive, please). I had a really bad cold turn into a middle ear infection and I had a nasty case of vertigo until I got some antibiotics.

What's your point?
I honestly don't know why it's so wrong to ask for basic information, I don't want to go to a doctor just to ask if getting dizzy is a normal symptom from the flu.

I think his point is that you are seeking attention.

I'm not, sorry to everybody that gets annoyed by my posts but I honestly don't know what the big deal is. These threads don't effect you at all, and if someone wants to help me out I would appreciate it, not criticize me because I have severe anxiety problems that I am going to a counselor soon for.

Soon? I don't mean to come off as nasty but you have been posting this for months and you are still not getting help.

When my friend had the flu he was bed ridden and everytime he tried to walk would get too dizzy and fall over. Yet my dad had swine flu in the summer and could drive, still do DIY and had no real problems at all.

The big deal is that it is stupid, and potentially dangerous, to ask medical advice online, particularly on a computer forum. Go SEE/ASK medical and mental health professionals about your problems.
And don't ask your doctor for advice about your computer!

I am stubborn.....I rarely see a doc when sick. Being in the Air Force, I cant call in sick. I have been at work with a 102 fever. Pound lots of water, vitamin C.....eat something so spicy you can barely stomach it...take a hot shower and go to bed....you'll sweat it out.
