I don't know if it's just me or others having the same issue as well. I bought this new 21.5-inch iMac yesterday and everything seems to be perfectly fine except when I play youtube videos the sound goes weird like theres something wrong with the speaker, but its fine when playing itunes music...
Has anyone experienced the same?

Hopefully Apple is working on a solution because this is getting a lot of press (Engadget, CNET). I hope they release a firmware update in a few days

I think I have the same problem with my 21,5" iMac:
When I play sound (like skype) the sound sometimes stutter/clicking/interupted a little which is caused by, I guess, HD activity. Are we talking about the same strange sound or do you guys have another soundprob?

yeah it may be fine when you first use it eventually you will experience system slowdowns.

Its not Apple's fault, Adobe is the one with the issue.

How's that if the problems are in iMovie too ?
Reading through al the threads it seems to be a graphics driver issue with ATI cards...

It's the Flash player that's causing the problems. I haven't even heard anything about iMovie from any source, so it's probably an isolated problem. YouTube video playback out of sync is more widespread.

I would assume that would be the issue since the iMac had problems awhile back with ATi and their drivers...

I first noted this issue in iMovie, then tested VLC and YouTube and both had the same problem (iTunes seemed fine). After rebooting, been fine for 3 days (even including YouTube HD, etc)
EDIT: Forgot to mention that mine has a 9400M, so an ATi driver issue is unlikely.

Again: its not only a flash issue:

Ever since I plugged in to my ethernet ports and disabled wireless, I have noticed a bump in performance on my 21.5" iMac.

Flash performance is getting worse with each new Mac. Surely, this is not all Adobe's fault.
