How to change icon in Language panel? (is this a difficult hack?)

There's a country flag representing each language under the international panel in system preferences. Would anyone know how to change the flag icon for a certain language to a different icon? Presumably the new icon would also appear in the menu bar when the language is selected. Many thanks in advance.
