Is it possible to activate a 2g iPhone without an AT&T sim card?

Basically, bought a 2g iPhone off of ebay, messed up on the unlocking process with pwnage tool, and now it's telling me to activate it through iTunes (with an AT&T sim). Is there anyway to activate it without an AT&T sim (as I have T-Mobile)? Or anyway to bypass this?

Just start over with pwnage tool. I screwed it up the first couple of times I tried it, too. Be more careful this time.
