Internal sata device usage with laptops

to use for ex internal hdds with my mb

I got to thinking, could I use this to attach other sata devices as well? such as optical drives...like bluray?

...if they have the same interface, bus and power requirements I don't see why not...

true but i could connect it with sata cables right? would look bad but is possible i would think?

as long as the power connectors work, it should work.
