What do you plan on doing and what language are you going to be writing in? This may help those who do a lot of this type of stuff help you out more.

I know very little code. I know simple XHTML and simple CSS. Thats it. However, I was under the impression that the applications listed were WYSIWYG apps - which means I didn't need to know a lot of language.
Regarding, what I want to do, well I want to make a nice elegant website. Something that includes contact forms, a nice style photo album pages, video pages all with nice CSS.
Here are a few example websites that I think look nice and would want to make something like these websites:
http://www.gardendetails.net/gallery/info.html
http://sadiessideboard.com/SadiesMenu/menu.html
http://www.yourhead.com/
Thank you

I've move this thread to the Web Design and Development forum. Check out the stickies and browse a bit around this forum.
Coda is not a WYSIWYG app, nor is Espresso.

Dreamweaver is a really nice program, it is expensive but worth it too.
I'm using it all the time but almost 100% in code view.
Once you get used to HTML (doesn't take long) you will want to "hand code" stuff. And that's where even Dreamweaver can help a lot, no need to type all the stuff all the time, you want a button for example, you click on the button symbol and it puts the code in there for you - those kind of stuff. :)
If you want a contact form, you need to use a little php.

Hey, im sorry for posting in the wrong place.
Well, there are some comments here and i truly appreciate it. Your all very helpful. it seems that a lot of you are recommending dreamweaver. However, I find it to be a bit complex for my level. and since coda and esperso are not WYSIWYG apps, ill take those of my list.
So I guess ill be between
Flux 2
freeway pro 5
rapidweaver
out of those 3, which one would you recommend?
Thank you

Hey, im sorry for posting in the wrong place. Nah, It wasn't really in the wrong place, both would be suitable, I just thought you'd get more help here in this forum. ;)
BTW, I work as a web developer and use Coda as my preferred online editor.
I've not tried Freeway or Flux, but Rapidweaver is kind of nice, if you get some nice skins and learn to tweak those.

hey all. thnx to all of you for your advice.
Iv decided to go with rapidweaver, mainly because of the massive add-ons they have and the rapidweaver classroom video tutorials which are useful.
Thanks you
Zack
