I'm sure ATV Flash is my answer but I thought I would ask, I have a lot of movies in Divx format that I converted to Apple Tv via Handbrake but the picture is not that as good as if I had just watched the dvd in my dvd player vs Apple Tv. What are my best options to watch all my downloaded moves in HD and on my Apple TV, Thanks...

Quality is very much subjective, so use trial and error to find what your palatte can tolerate.
Thats said, I started with the Apple TV preset and changed it to use two pass encoding with a target bitrate of 2500. I'm far from a videofile, but this looks decent enough for me.

Personally i would just install the free Patchstick with XBMC and Boxee and then you would have no need to convert all those divx files.
Plus XBMC will upscale your content to HD.
