So, I just woke up, and I noticed the Battery Status Icon in my menu bar had an X in it and said "No Battery Available."

Um, No.
So I popped out the battery, rebooted, and now it shows a battery, but it says 0%. And the kicker is...

It's not charging.

Ok, first off - my Powerbook has been plugged in all the time, hasn't been on battery at all. So why did the battery drain while it was plugged in?

And second, why won't it recharge? Wtf is up with this crap?

I have the older Powerbook G4 Titanium 15" if that matters. And I don't want to spend 129 bucks on a new battery. Cause that is ridiculous.

Thanks for any ideas or help.

Have you never or very infrequently used the battery on your PB? If so, then your battery is dead. You NEED to use the battery in order for it to live. Go here to see if there is anything else that can help:

Good luck,

Then I guess I'd give Apple a call. Is it still under warranty? Seems like a defect in the manufacturing, so it's covered under warranty.

Hope everything turns out well,
