i have a new computer... what will happen when i plug in my iphone?

i have a new computer, because i upgraded to windows 7 and basically idk what i can do about plugging my iphone into my comp. i don't want to lose all my contacts, but i know the computer will probably say it doesnt' recognize the computer and will have to erase and sync? will this erase contacts and pictures i have saved and etc. help please.

It will not erase and sync. It will work with that computer just fine.
