I am looking for some good headphones because my cheap in ears have broken. Again. I heard skullcandy's are good. I found both of them for 28 dollars and 32 dollars on overstock.com. I plan on listening to rap and hip hop and techno with a little rock. Which one should I get? Opinions?

Neither. (http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/skullcandy-seriously-405624/) If you want good headphones that don't cost too much and still look pretty cool, get these instead (http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_en.nsf/root/private_headphones_wired-headphones_502766).

Also, you're missing out on a great alternative (http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Ear-Pollution-Billionaire-DJ-Headphones/4012588/product.html). :D

i was going to get hesh, but i picked up some smokin' buds to save 10 bucks. they have some sick bass for only $25. bottom line: hesh.

For the love of God, people: bass quantity does not equal bass quality. Also, I think it's very funny that somebody wants to get good headphones and is willing to spend a whopping 28 or 32 dollars! :o

Skullcandys are not good, in fact they are the very opposite. I used to think it was excusable because they never claimed to be very good but now they have an "audiophile" range which is a joke, frankly.

At that price range get a Sennheiser.

I don't know what to get because I want Sennheiser's but they have really long cords and they're made for home use I want it to be over the head.

Sennheiser's portable range does not have overly long cords.

Not all Sennheisers are for home use. And neither are all Sennheisers very expensive. (http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-212-HD-212-Headphones/dp/B000065BPA/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257588035&sr=8-5)

The model I linked to above even has a detachable cable, so you could get a shorter cable and use that.
