After installing today's RC3 release of Blackra1n and then Blacksn0w, my wifi for my home network went away on my iPhone - nowhere on the list under settings did it (or any other wifi network for that matter) appear. I Googled and found one post that said I should reset my network settings. When I did that, the tethering that the "black st0rms" had turned on was gone.

I'm now performing my 3rd restore to try to fix things so I can have wifi and tethering.

Has anyone else run into these issues? Any advice?

Resetting the network settings>>restart>install profile should fix it

Geohot said on his Twitter a simple reset network settings should fix the issue

🙄.

Reset of network settings does get my wifi back, but the tether option that appeared under Settings/General/Network disappeared.

Ahh. There are packages in Cydia to re-enable it (for free). Don't ask me for the names though, since Cydia is broken for me.

this happened to me when I jailbroke my 3GS. I was unable to resolve the issue and went back to stock, but jailbreaking was always "I can take it or leave it" for me.

If the BenM profile worked, just stick with that. Easier than finding the correct .ipcc and installing, while achieving the same thing.

I had the no wifi issue as well. I unistalled blacksn0w. Rebooted. Installed a second time and all is well.

If resetting the network doesn't work, I found that turning off the phone for a few minutes twice works. I did this last night on my and my husbands phone.

I fixed the wifi issue by uninstalling blacksn0w from Cydia and reinstalling it. The reset network settings didn't work for me.
