My G1 touch recently developed a hyper sensitive home button. If you just look at it funny it acts as if it's been pressed. Took me a while to figure it out as i still operates mechanically the same- still the slight click when pressed ect.

Is there any way to repair or replace this button myself? I checked ifixit's site but didn't see a home button assembly available.

Given that its 2+ years old, I don't want to spend a bunch of money to have someone fit it.

Thanks

Try an Apple Store, they will often fix minor issues with iPods for free regardless of age. Don't know if that is minor, sounds maybe like a dirt issue.
