I heard there is a burn option in Disk Utilities tool, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

You can use iTunes to burn songs. It's very slow. I recommend Toast. It works very well. It's so common, you could find it on any P2P network.

Hey, come on. Don't advocate software theft.

iTunes works great. Open iTunes, go to the Help menu, and select "iTunes and Music Store Help". When Help comes up, type "burn CD" into the search box in the upper right hand side of the help window.

Select "Creating your own audio CDs". It's all there.

First, you'll want to make a playlist, which is also described within Help.

you can burn a cd through finder also. Just drag all the contents into the cd. Then in the finder window, in the left column, click the burn icon.
Else, if you want to use disk utility, click 'new image' , then select whatever you want to burn. Then click 'burn' .

cheers

If you dont' want to create audio CD's, just insert a blank disc into your drive. Then, drag the files you want on the CD on top of the icon (Should read: CD-R). Then, after it copies, drag it to the trash. You will notice that the Trash icon changes to a "Burn" icon. Just continue dragging, and drop the CD-R icon on top. It will prompt you for your burning options, then just click ok! It will burn, and then re-mount when it's done!

Good point - I think we all thought chrislee8 meant "audio" CD.

As mentioned above, it's easy:

(1) Insert CD-R or CD-RW.
(2) In dialog that pops up, name it.
(3) Drag files over.
(4) Hit 'Eject' button on keyboard. You'll be prompted to burn it. Note that CD isn't burned until you tell it to do so - drageed files aren't really on the CD until then.

This also applies to DVD-R, if you have a SuperDrive.

Anybody notice how nobody said where Disk Utilities is located?

Go to the Applications folder and then to the Utilities folder. That is where you will find it
