Maybe no major fanfare, but it certainly made Apple's store listing.

Yep, and it was listed as a grand opening on apple.com/retail as well. Just gotta know where to look I guess.

As well as that, check Hot News (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/), and you might even see this occasionally:

Amazing.

Interesting, but I guess they can't all have a super-huge fanfare. The presence is enough, I believe. Hopefully those Rosevillians (Read: Rose-vill-eee-yans, not Rose-Villains ;) ) go and nab up their share.

As for the choice of location: I guess the Cities are big enough, but they have 3 Apple stores! That's a lot in such a small area!

There is also going to be one in West Des Moines, Iowa, at the new Jordan Creek Mall. Finally I have noticed a job offer on the Apple's retail site even though it was announced by the mall a month ago.

I don't think the Twin cities area is that small really. Metro area population is somewhere around 2.5 million people. And don't forget one of the 3 stores is at the largest mall in the United States. Apple pretty much has to have a store there.

Does anyone else think that the locations listed in the Search Jobs page could provide clues to new locations?

I noticed the Roseville location several months ago. While searching today I also saw "Minnetonka" which is the site of another large regional mall in the Twin Cities (Ridgedale).

What other local jobs could apple be listing at that location?

Err!! another one sooo close to FArgo... but nooo Apple doesn't want to serve the biggest shopping area in the upper mid-west.

Without notice or even mention on apple.com, an Apple Store in Roseville, Minnesota opens.

Wow, that's quite surprising.. considering, it is Minnesota after all. You'd think they'd take down that silly new iPod splash page to promote it.
