Windows 7 Installing doubt

I just wonder that is it true that Windows 7 works with 5 GB RAM, So my Question is that will windows 7 will work on my macbook with 1 GB RAM and Intel core 2 duo, Graphic card 144 MB(Intel GMA x3100) and 2.1GHz.

Your system exceeds the minimum requirements, but the 1 GB of RAM is a bit of a drag. Can you upgrade to at least 2 or 4 GB?

If not try Windows 7 32 bit as you will get no benefit from the 64 bit version.
