Desktop or Powerbook?

I will buying the machine sometime around next may, but I want to do some good researching before then so I might as well start now. I will be going to college and proballly majoring in Graphic Design or some other major concerning music producing.(let me know if you know of any specific majors for this. I havnt looked into it much.) Anyway, do I get the G5 powermac which will probally still be out, or the G5 powerbook, which is said to deffinatly be out by then. Thanks

I don't believe that the G5 Powerbook will be out by then, personally, but even if it were, I would go for a Desktop G5. They are quite a bit faster. Unless you really want to have a portable.

By next May? There will definately be a faster PowerBook by then, probably using a G5 chip or e600/700. I would lean towards the PowerBook, which will probably feature an entirely redesigned form-factor. I doubt a G6 PowerMac will be out by then.
