It's me again, with yet another question.

I want to get an Airport card for my G4, but when I went searching I found a few different ones and haven't been able to get a straight answer. I'm also told that I might need some kind of adapter as well?

I assumed that it would be the same one that I put in my G4 iBook, but am I wrong?

1.25GHz 20" G4 iMac(the one in my sig)

Thanks again

You are going to have to shine a flashlight inside ... and look at the connector

one is like a PCMCIA card

AirPort Card: Compatible Macintosh Computers (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1621)

and the other is a mini-PCI card

AirPort Extreme Card: Compatible Macintosh computers (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3024)

If you look at the :apple: / About this Mac / More Info / ...

You might be able to see which card is used, even though it says Not Present

Locating your exact machine in ...

http://support.apple.com/specs/

Also works

Ok,
Looks like the Airport, not the extreme.

The article below shows a pic of the same iMac I have in.

If you have USB 2.0 you need Airport Extreme.

I decided to atop being lazy and took it apart. It clearly needs the Extreme card.

Thanks again
