If you could assemble a cabinet from any LIVING group of persons who would you put up for each position?

Prez?

VP?

Secs of State, Defence, etc?

Why would you put each person in a given position?

OK, I'll bite...

Pres.- Sen. John McCain.
Goes against my political ideology, but I feel that he is a man of sound judgement and integrity. The fact that he has held his own in the current climate of the Republican party means a lot also. I may not end up agreeing with all his positions, but I could probably respect them. He knows the meaning of War, and has made attempts to fix the US political system. If there was a Democratic- controlled Congress during his term, I would be really happy.

VP - Two Choices.
1) Gov. Tom Vilsack (Iowa)
Although relatively new to Politics, he has impressed many with his drive and integrity. I feel he would be a good VP (he was in the running for Kerry)...would be a good match with McCain imo.
2) Sen. Russ Feingold (WI)
McCain and him have worked on many things together, most notably the Campaign-Finance reform bill. Although considerably different in Political ideology, they would be a good counter-balance to each other, and they are both hard-working and integral.

Sec. State - couple of choices...
1) Samuel Huntington
Harvard Professor of Political Science. Has written the pre-eminent works in the field since the 50's. Contemporary of both Kissenger and Brez(can't spell..he was in the Carter Administration). Respected by both men, and the foreign-policy establishment at large. Brilliant man, who does not allow himself to be stuck in a particular ideological rut.
2) Kissenger
Yes, he is probably a war criminal, but he is also a Genius. Not my first choice, but a good one from a practical standpoint.

Sec. Defense - Senator Biden.(couldn't think of anyone else at the moment)

NSA - not sure...

The Fat Chance Ticket:

Sec Of State: Jimmy Carter (I like the guy and he's respected abroad)
Attourney General: John Edwards

Veep: Obama Barack

Yea, I too am as impressed with Obama Barack as I was with Clinton Hillary, Dean Howard, and Kennedy Ted! The all gave great speeches, and hopefully Kerry John will defeat Bush George.
