PSP WEP Help!!!!!!

I am trying to connect to my WiFi on my psp but every time i type in my WEP password it says:
The characters you entered are not valid.
For hexadecimal:
Use 10 or 26 characters from the ranges
0-9, a-f and A-F
For ASCII:
Use 5 or 13 characters.

What does this mean?
Am I supposed to make my wep password 10 OR 16 characters???

Please help

P.S. I dont not want to have a wep password.

This is the wrong forum, you should be posting this on the psp support forums,

anyways, to access wireless via your psp you have to have a wep password to your router, not sure where you are but if you look on the bottom of your router there should be printed some garb, one of these things should be your wep access password
