I am planning on building myself a custom iphone dock out of an old skateboard (cut it in half, sand and varnish it) and i was curious to see how many others have built their own.
I know that you can print cardboard ones but thats a little flimsy for my taste. Has anyone out there built one that their really proud of lately?

here is mine. though not really homemade. I made these high end ipod docks. well I make the wood part the fellow who sells them does all the electronics. but I worked out a bracket to hold the plastic adapter and the jack. that was a real pain.

Very Nice!! Love Wood!! Looks like I'll have to boot up the Powermatic and get to work! I've got a great piece of burled scrap that is the perfect size!

Great Thread!

this is the best I have right now for the iPhone.... (A-Pillar Hell handle Holder for iPhone, it goes in landscape also, pic is before paint, it's a lot further away from wheel than it looks)
