How far away from you do you have your 27 imac?

I was wondering how far away from the user must the screen be in order for someone to use it comfortably as it is such a huge screen

I am note sure about others, but I am seriously looking at a 29" deep desk for this new iMac

People make like it was a orangutan sitting on the desk. It's only roughly 2.5" wider on each side than the 21.5" Sitting at arms length should not be overly close.

I have mine on a 26" deep desk, and the screen is roughly one arm length away from my face. I have not had any trouble with eye strain or anything like that.

Mine as well is about an arms length away. It's huge!
