Righty ho Kids! Time to get edumacated:p
There's a good article for newbies at www.howstuffworks.com on the workings of a modern pc, which also goes onto more articles about processors, RAM, AGP, etc... If you do a search there's also articles about servers, routers, hubs/switches, etc.
Another site to check out is www.arstechnica.com which has a running article comparing the P4 to the G4e (look down the right side colum). There's also an article on the history of metadata and compares the different methods used today on windows, Mac OS9 and OSX.
And one last site to check out is http://whatis.techtarget.com/ which is basically a dictionary/encyclopedia of computer terms.
I know I've posted these sites before but I dont think to many people saw it.
