I am new to photography and just purchased a Kiron Macro 105mm, f/2.8 Lens from ebay for $265.00. I found information on the lens at nicobastone.com, but I'm a little confused.

Can anyone tell me about the numbers (32,16-16,32) on the barrel to the right of the reproduction ratio?

I'm guessing this is for Nikon. is it manual focus or autofocus?

All that I can offer you is this Google Search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&client=safari&rls=en&num=20&q=Kiron+Macro+105mm%2C+f%2F2.8+&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g2)

And/or look around the Flickr Group: No metering lenses on Nikon DSLRs (http://www.flickr.com/groups/365610@N21/)

Edit: Depth of Field markings I'm guessing since after having a read/look at nicobastone.com (http://www.nicobastone.com/Kiron_105_macro.htm) "since depth of field is so small at high resolution ratios, a lens opening of no larger than f/16 is recommended."
