I was just wondering if this would be decent upgrade. Would I be able to notice a difference in power/speed? I am looking at this because this is an upgrade that might be in my price range and because it would include the G4, dvd/cd-rw, and a hard drive 3x the size of the tiny one in my iBook. Let me know what you think...

Yeah I think you'll see a very noticeable improvement, but not necessarily an earth shattering boost.

The main differences are Altivec, faster bus, larger resolution and a video card that supports Quartz Extreme. Depending on which 667MHz model you get it'll either have 16MB Radeon Mobility or or 32MB Radeon 7500 Mobility, that's going to be a huge improvement over the iBook, so the interface will be a lot snappier.

You'll notice the difference, but I would at least try to save up for a new machine. You might want to look for a 12 inch Rev. A PowerBook. I would stay away from Titanium.

What would the specs be on a Rev. A Powerbook that you mentioned. I wouldn't even know what to look for. Thanks
