Is there such a thing? I was so accustomed to using Publisher before switching to a Mac but now I find myself in a pinch. Is there a cheap or free alternative for a Mac?

Cheap/free--so you're probably not looking at Adobe InDesign. AppleWorks may just offer what you're looking for. I actually never did anything in Publisher that Word or AppleWorks couldn't do...not that I used Publisher very much...

Indesign is my next scheduled purchase when I find the cash, however, there is a free programme called Ragtime Solo, (free for non profit/commercial use) - check it out at

http://www.ragtime-online.com/

Apple works, like MS Publisher, is definitely limited compared to Pagemaker/Indesign etc, but Ragtime may be worth a try, you have nothing to lose!

I have heard of Ragtime, have not tried it.

You can get the Adobe Suite for $400 if you tale any class at community college I believe.
