Hi,

I need to know how to create a HI RES version of my 512 x 512 Icon?

Anyone do this, anyone know how to do it?

Thanks

Not 100% sure what you're actually asking.

Normally you would make the high-res version first (512x512px) and then downsize this to 57x57px.

No i need a 200ppi Tiff of my 512 Icon. Apple is asking for it! If my icon was re res already they wouldn't be asking...?!

Any ideas?

Edit: Maybe i set the original to 72ppi? Instead of 200!! i'll see...

Here's what iTunes Connect has to say about the large icon:
Large 512x512 Icon:
A large version of the application icon. This will appear in the App Store. It must be flat artwork, without rounded corners, that has not been scaled up, that is at least 512 x 512 pixels and that is at least 72 DPI.

Yes i am aware of that, my Large icon was 512x512 75dpi, i just needed a hi res one (2000x2000 300dpi).

But i sorted it out now, i contacted a friend at Apple and he told me exactly what i needed!

Thanks guys... :apple:

Why do you need a higher res version? Who at Apple is asking for this? What are they going to do with it? Are you being featured? :D

Hm, sounds almost like it's for a print-job, but then you would probably have been asked to change the color-space as well...

This isn't for iTunes, so forget the 512x512 stuff. It's for a possible print ad.

Best bet is to hire an experienced graphic artist to redraw your icon or images using Illustrator or other high end editor that can produce editable print ready output. The eventual publisher can do the color space or color matching edits.

The better the graphics job you do, the better the potential results. $$$$$

Good Luck!
