I realize this question has probably already been answered, but even using MRoogle, I've yet to find a solution.
I have a mid-2005 20" iMac G5 2.0 GHz with 2 GB RAM and 10.5.8 set up as a Media Center in my living room. It's not perfect (I'm using a Manta IR receiver/blaster from TwistedMelon), but it's almost there.
[Currently, I have to unplug then replug the IR device when I wake up the computer in order to regain remote capability].
However, I'm interesting in learning if there is an elegant solution to viewing Live (broadcast) TV within the confines of Leopard's Front Row
(Plex and Boxee are not PPC-compatible; I am open to other solutions)
Also, what are the best plug-ins to use to view Internet TV?
Since the G5 has never been super-optimized for media decoding/transcoding, a hardware-based decoding device from Elgato seems to be my best bet, provided I can keep all my options within one remote-based application.
Thanks for your help.
