I am allllmost getting my fill on these articles about how far ahead Apple is in the world of Music. So, they've taken an early lead in controlling 70% of the 4% of legal music sales. These guys write articles like I used to write term papers: read the encyclopedia and re-word everything.
Small taters in the bigger picture. Killer hardware (17" display, slot loading drives in a notebook!) and killer software (i installed a Sprint PCS internet access card, and required no drivers at all to the surprise of Sprint PCS tech. now, that's an OS.).
Yes, I have an iPod, and woudn't do well without it, but at the same time, it hasn't progressed much, software wise, at all. "Shuffle" made it to the front menu. Wow. The "click" can be heard in the headphones. Wow (and, by the way, that feature would make more sense in 3Gs, which have no tactile feedback and no audio feedback if you have headphones on)

Putting iTunes on Motorola phones will not in itself do this.. Motorola phones, from what I have seen, are only popular in north america, they aren't too popular in Europe and elsewhere.
Apple will have to support other cellphones such as Siemens, SonyEricsson, Nokia et al, which are popular worldwide and not just in one market...
