If he was able to raise awareness about security problems that can be introdused by modifying your phone, more power to him.

The problem with jailbreaking is most people who do it have NO understanding of the root system changes that occur. They are just obsessed with the "Look how cool and unique my iPhone is." This is not to start an argument about whether or not Apple should allow more customization. I just want to point out that unless you know what you are doing, and know to change your password, you should probably not be modding your phone.

GAAAAAAAAAAAH, How many times in how many threads do I have to repeat this? Jailbreaking your phone doesn't automatically install SSH!

Also that dude is neither a baddie nor a boy wonder! If you want to look for a boy wonder look no further than Geohot.

Can't you just change your SSH password or whatever that is, and then you're immune to the virus? It's not like you need any special skill or anti virus to do that...
