i7 iMacs: Unaffected by the slowdown issue?

I'm highly considering purchasing a 27" i7 iMac when January rolls around. The only thing that really concerns me is whether or not they are affected by the same slowdown issues that the Core 2 Duo models are experiencing...

To those who have i7 iMacs, is it an issue?

I'm pretty sure the C2D issues were solved by the 10.6.2 update anyway.

Looks like people claim 10.6.2 fixed it. Don't know personally.

Don't feel bad for asking. The threads are getting long and difficult to find specific issues.
