Rap or Rock-what do the macrumors users like

I was woundering what kinds of music do most macrumors users prefer? I have made a poll for it so everyone vote.

The Orb, System 7, Chemical Brothers, FSOL, U2, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, No Doubt, Talking Heads. Beastie Boys, and many others.

I like: Classical, Rock, Techno, and Opera.
I don't like most rap, country, or grunge.

I would dare say you have not heard "all rap" because musically and lyrically certain types of rap are the most advanced music out there, IMO...

Duke check out http://www.hiphopinfinity.com it is a massive collection of underground hip hop and is on point, to listen to most of it you need the realone player though. Check out Nova Cain, and Atmosphere

Korn, Deftones, Foo Fighters, The Ataris, The Goo Goo Dolls, Guano Apes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, System of a Down, Tool, Incubus, Sheryl Crow, Lynyerd Skynyerd, The Eagles, Papa Roach, ZZ Top, Wheezer, The Vines, Rage Against the Machine, etc. A nice mix. Some classical (Mozart et al) and Chemical Brother and Fat Boy Slim too.

Well... your poll is a little bit weird, coz...

1) Most people like more than one style of music

2) The few styles you listed are not all out there by far

I listen to almost everything. Since I was a pro musician myself for a long while (had to give it up since I have a family) I can find something interesting in almost every style, as long as the music is made smart and not just dumb wonna-be musician creative wasteland.

But on top of the the list are Jazz, (mostly old) R&B, Soul, Classic and (different kinds of) Rock... in that order. No special artists I am worshipping. There are too many that are good and too many that had bright moments with one song or maybe a whole LP, but are not interesting in general to be mentioned.
