Please don't approve articles with misspelled words in the headline. I know blogs are the "new journalism" but come on. CEOs, not "CEO's"...

In spite of that, it's actually an interesting read. I liked this:

[quote]Do you think Microsoft developed the Zune because they wanted to change the way people listen to music? Do you think they developed the xBox as a means to improve the gaming experience? I donít mean to pick on Microsoft, but it doesnít take a genius to see that Ballmer, and many other CEOís, view their products solely as a means to generate money, and nothing more.

Remember when Jobs was talking about the inspiration for the iPhone? He said that he and many of Apple's employees had complained about what a pain their cell phones were to use. So Jobs saw a need to make a better cell phone. It wasn't about grabbing market share; it was about making a great product.

"How Steve Jobs is different from most other CEO's"

That's easy. Steve Jobs is the only CEO who gets paid for the amount of "real work" he does - $1 per year. ;)

All other CEOs get paid obscene amounts of money and hugemungous "bonuses" for doing pretty much nothing except having long lunches, golf games, etc. (often even when they drive the company into the ground they still get obscene "golden parachutes").

Get a grip, Make a great product he did! To make money, don't confuse the issue. He's a business man, a good one at that! :D
