istop motion problems

I just downloaded a trial version of istopmotion for my macbook. I use a Nikon D80 DSLR camera. I change the USB memory to PTP to allow the program to see the camera, but instead it does not come up as a source. It only see the built in isight. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, but does anyone know of anything else I could try? I emailed the company and they gave me a suggestion, but it didn't work. Any help is much appreciated!

Are programs like iPhoto able to see the camera? If so, I would suggest just importing the photos you want into there and manually putting them into istop motion. Not as fast, but probably better in the long run anyway, in terms of photo management.
