I have a g4 quicksilver. and as you all know usb is popular with third party hardware. So in other words my usb ports and hubs are taken. tell me another way I can get midi and audio input into my computer (without using usb)...
P.S. I have lots of PCI room (hint)

i picked up one of these (http://www.tascam.com/Products/US-122.html) off EBay brand new for pretty cheap and i really like it. i wish the knobs were a little better but other than that the thing is built really well.

A friend has an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 PCI card, which is pretty nice. Line-level audio and also MIDI ins and outs. PCI options are usually cheaper than external options, too.
Good luck,
