I don't need the G4 but I would sell my PC for $350, here are the specs

Athlon XP2200 CPU
512 MB DDR Ram
52X CD Burner
60GB HD
Keyboard
400W Power Supply
Onboard Video + Sound
Case + Case Fan

It seams like I am missing something in that description.

I've got a Dell Dimension 4500 Pentium 4 1.8Ghz available. DVD-ROM/CD-RW, GeForce 2MX, Sound Blaster Live 5.1, 60GB HD, modem, Network, standard ports... Running Windows XP and I have the Restore discs for the system. It's in fairly mint condition.

My computer is without a doubt the fastest one on this thread (sorry guys!). I got a Athlon 64 2800+ in a Lian Li PC-6070 black aluminum case, a Chaintech mobo, 80GB SATA drive, 9700 pro ATI graphics card (very fast), 512MB PC3200 RAM, etc, etc. Awesome system!

So you're willing to trade this "Awesome system!" for an old G4? I'm assuming that's why you posted in this thread? Or were you just so excited about your PeeCee that you had to post this?

;)

I've got a 4 year old Compaq Pesario with a Celeron if your serious about light work. My mom will need a Mac once I'm gone for school (I'm not going to train her for Win XP). Lemme know if you want the specs.

Good god. You're willing to trade a 2800+ machine for a 466 mhz machine? I've heard of people being stupid but good god. That mac isn't worth over 100 in my opinion...Your video card's memory is clocked faster than the processor in the machine you're getting. People get real.

Why would anyone trade a new 64 2800 system for only a low end g4 mac?? if you are gonna trade the pc for a mac, at least trade it for like a dual 1ghz powermac g4 or high end powerbook g4, not this low end machine. Think!!!!

Are you kidding me? This system is NOT worth that much, Mac's keep a lot of their value over the years, PC's do not. I feel that the trade is about equal, if I sold the computer, I would probably get between $500 and $600, about where, IMO, this computer is worth. There is NO way that the G4 is worth $100, it is worth much more. Apparently you do not understand the value of computers.

Hi
That system (G4) is probably worth $600-700.

THIS (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemWithCategory&item=4133408956) is what I sold on eBay not too long ago...Check out the price. It sold about a day into the auction start on a 7-day auction.

Hi
Well, without exact specs I priced out such a system to be about $900 new using NewEgg.com.

Trust me, used PCs are significantly lower than their new value. Anywho. It would be a pretty darn equal/fair trade.

Exactly what I was thinking, which is why I offered my system. I need a Mac, not a PC (I already have another PC, and my Powerbook needs a friend!).

If none of that works out I have a case with a good Gigabyte motherboard and AthlonXP 2100+, all it is missing is a video card, hard drive, and ram. It is a fixer upper. But if you are interested I could see about putting some pieces back in it.
