With all the ferver over the i7's, I'm wondering if there is ANYONE out there with an i5 who has experienced their computer not being up to the tasks set before it.
As a disclaimer, I bought an i5 and I am blown away by its performance.:D

Well, then, I'm gonna be 30% more blown away than that.

Thanks for starting this thread. I am about to order the i5. From all we know, hyperthreading has been around for years without being put to real use. Moreover, the i7 has been said to possibly cause actual negative user experience due to more likely noise from the cooling fans. But I could be still be swayed to order the i7. ;)What could sway me are for example side-to-side tests of imports of 500 full-resolution photos to iPhoto. Photo imports are painfully slow on my MacMini ... I can not only go down for a coffee, but watch an entire movie
At my local Apple store the 27" look beautiful, however the reflection of the glossy screen was obvious. The store didn't have the right-size anti-glare film yet and estimates it may cost $200 (!) --- anyone else thinking of making their glossy screen matt?

I had terrible glare with my 24 inch imac.. To fix this i moved my desks around so they didn't face my window - Problem fixed! thees screens are so bright you don't notice any light coming from the ceiling. I like glass because it's easy to clean and makes the screen look sharp!
Sensational!
