Macrumors is the best.
I think whats best about it is the message boards and the community associated with it.

Anyone notice that they have a pic of the G4 case still up without a letter from apple?

ha, that's a good one - Apple obviously doesn't have them on their radar screen yet.
Voted 10, of course.

Just got my vote in. It's a hard choice between Macrumors and the little thing at the bottom. :p :D
Hey, I'm glad to be back.
BTW, shouldn't this be in the Community Discussion, since this deals more with Macrumors and not Macs in general?

Interesting to see how long it takes Apple legal to get there... although maybe they already have..... and they're just sticking 2 fingers up at authority.......!! :p

a) Does it matter
b) I put it in General because it is to do with Macs, Rumors and the Community.

>Does it matter
For something like this, not really. But...
>I put it in General because it is to do with Macs, Rumors and the Community.
...the General Mac forum is supposed to be about Macs. For something as fun and less "Mac"-related as this I would recommend this forum, the Community.
BTW, I wanted to bring this dying thread back up to congratulate iGavina on the upcoming 1000 post marker. :D

They did that a while back for like a month. Then all of a sudden they were back. I never read any other rumor sites now.

www.mosr.com is still up and running.

Strange. Even if the site name was changed I would have expected a redirect page of some sort. Otherwise, people who only visit macosrumors once in a while would not find mosr so easily.

Does anyone know who/where the first rumor forum site there was, and also which one has been the longest lasting?

Mac OS Rumors is likely the oldest Mac Rumor Site (no forums)
AppleInsider has had rumor forums the longest, but is only forums now.
MacRumors has been around since Feb, 2000... and there were commenting ability, but true forums came later.

Man, it doesn't feel like it has been that long does it? Crazy when you think about it. I found this site from a link at MacOS Rumors. That was one of the best things that they ever did for me was show me MacRumors. :D

Anyone know why they did that? I used to like their site and I really got into it for a while after the Cube pic straight from Apple's website showed up there.
