Hi

I have an Apple Ipod 3rd Gen. and for whatever reason the battery is really bad. It had a full charge right before I transferred 2GB of music to it and now it is on its last bar on the battery indicator.

Is there a way to get a new battery for it, and if so where would be the best (cheapest) place to get one?

Thanks in advance

If you didn't get

http://www.apple.com/support/products/applecareipod.html

There is

http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/battery.html

don't remember what the 3rd party options were. :o

Duff-man says...have a look at http://www.ipodbattery.com/ and also, not to divert you from this wonderful message board to another, but this thread at the iPodLounge (http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=19556) is worth reading...oh yeah!

Might want to troubleshoot a bit to see if it's the battery giving you the problem and not just the charge meter. Run a full discharge/charge cycle and see how it behaves then. Don't just jump to getting a new batter until you're sure that'll solve the problem.
