so i have a DP 1.0 ghz quicksilver with the geforce 4 64MB video card in it, and i was thinking that it might be about time to beef it up a little. right now there is a deal going on where i could get a radeon 9000 pro w/ 128MB VRAM for not too much, but i seem to remember hearing somewhere that cards over a certain level actually would not really add anything to my computer.

does anyone know of a reason this might be true? if it is true, does it apply to this card, and what other cards could i get that would still do me some good?

thanks for any help you can give me. i know that i can always come here to find good answers to random questions.

You have 4x AGP in that thing.

The GeForce 3/4 is better than the 9000. A GeForce 4 Ti 4600 is about all you can/want to do..
