Cam not working

Hello, this morning I went to the Target website and they have this new sweepstakes and you need to how your webcam on..so I'm new to Mac and didn't know how to turn it on so it asked me to hit something that said "usb" and I did and now my cam is not working..it tell me there is no connected camera, how do I put it back..

Do you mean you iSight camera (the webcam) on the top of whatever Mac you have got?
Or do you mean another external webcam or other kind of camera?

What do you mean by USB and "you need to how your webcam on"?
