Extending the iMac display

Hi, All,

I'm a little confused (not entirely unusual), so figured I'd ask the question I have in mind here.

My plan is to get myself a 27" i7 for Christmas. After over a year of being trapped on a 2007 macbook it will be a lovely change...

Anyway, I'm keen to find out whether I'll be able to use the new mini display port to extend my desktop to two monitors. Is this possible? And is it simply a case of plugging another monitor into the mini display port, or is there rather more to it?

Plug a monitor into the minidisplay port. Done. You can change the settings in System Preferences>Display to suit your liking.
