iTunes loading time on new 21.5" iMac (base model)

Hello,

I was curious as to why sometimes my iTunes will open completely within one bounce of the icon in the dock but other times it can take up to seven bounces. I have nearly 4,000 songs in my iTunes library. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It's faster if you have opened it once or more times after last restart because then it's already stored in RAM which is a lot faster than HD.
