Team America (http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/team_america/)

Yes, I think that interesting is the only word I can come up with to describe it as well. :o

Well, why undoubtably not an Oscar contender...I am cautiously optimistic about this movie...while Parker and Stone have an obvious penchant for rather tasteless humor, they are also very fair and insightful social commentators...

plus, I like puppets...

So, I take it that you're in favour of the Allawi regime, then? ;)

PS: It's "undoubtedly" or "indubitably", not "undoubtably". ;)

I get the impression that this movie will include unflattering puppets of celebrities and world leaders. If so it reminds me of that late great British TV series, "Spitting Images." They produced an American version of this show very, very briefly a bunch of years ago. Unsurprisingly, it didn't take. For some reason cruel puppets don't work in the US. The UK version was a scream.

IJ, I had forgotten all about that show...thanks for the trip down memory lane...and it was excellent, I agree.

It's the same person who does the Frontline series for PBS. I don't know his name offhand. I suppose they wanted to give a nice feeling of ersatz gravitas.
