Just wondering if it were possible to get pay-as-you-go internet for my MacBook. I noticed that I didn't have an expansion slot and was really let down. Is there a work-around?

It's easy, just sign up with one of these (http://www.top10-broadband.co.uk/compare/pay_as_you_go_mobile_broadband/) and plug-in the USB dongle.

They make USB 3G modems.
Whether or not you get service will depend on where you are.

That looks like it would do the trick if I ever decided to go international.

Tethering on my blackberry is an extra $15/month. Maybe it wouldn't be bad for a month if I needed to use it.

Looks interesting, but tethering on my BB costs $15/month, this is $15 per day! Pay As You Go is probably cheaper also.

$15 a month = $15 per day???? that makes no sense unless you only use it one day per month.

sorry, the "this" was unclear. I was referring to the vzw mifi but now that I look at it, I don't see where $15/day came from. $40/month + unit cost. Just seems better to tether, no?

But when you use the the Mifi, I assume you would get a better download speed then using tether.
Here are some videos on the Mifi if you are interested
