Best case with belt clip for Touch 3g?

I"m hunting for one myself..... have yet to find one i want to try!

In the past i have had good luck for my Palms with EB Cases, but haven't been overjoyed with the Touch offerings (last time i looked). I keep checking though.

One thing i can say is that i'd lke a horizontal case - i'm having to carry my Treo vertical in this new case and hate it.

I bought the DLO hipcase folio for my 3G touch [http://www.dlo.com/products/view/HCFolio_touch]. It looks nice, but the vertical orientation means when you sit down there is pressure pushing up on the case. Today I lucked out and saw the cased touch sitting on the floor of my car. I also have the DLO hipcase holster which I bought with my 1G touch [http://www.dlo.com/products/view/HC_touch]. Not only does it work fine with the 3G, but it has NEVER even threatened to come off. Note that the folio also seems to be made for the 1G touch since there is no provision for using the volume rocker. It's actually quicker to remove the touch from the holster and use it than it is to unhook the folio, and, of course, it takes much longer to rehook the folio than to slip the touch back into the holster and close the cover. Only one hand is needed for all this with the holster.

DLO quality is excellent. Check around and see if you can find a good price.

Well, a few more thoughts....

Having used/had a case with a flip lid like the one you posted, it would work for a Palm, my Treo and such (i had that type for multiple years on my Clie's), but it would never work for me on the Touch.

I rotate it too much as i'm using - anything i type is in landscape. The flip lid, unless it can removed (like the eNova line at http://www.ebcases.com/ has) just won't cut it.

These belt clips rock....

BUT, the price isn't "cheap". I'm a case snob in a way, and most of the time feel like i'm getting what i paid. I do have a dlo game jacket on my Touch right now and i actually love it. It adds some bulk on the ends when holding it landscape (which is probably why i prefer to type that way). A slide in holster i could slide it into would be best.... but i'm still carrying my phone that way and i'm a mom that doesn't want to look that geeky and have 2 things on my belt (and i rarely carry a purse).

The other thing is that i normally don't like the feel of most cheaper cases (probably stemming from my years of using the ebcases), so being able to feel them before i buy is important.

I've never owned a touch before - does the button fastner's being on the screen side of the ipod on the tecknet case I originally linked to (rather than the back, as on the iGadgetz case) make any difference? As to close the case you'd be pressing against the bottom of the screen, I think.

i think the only way a flip lid case would work for me is if it flipped, then pivoted out of the way, so you could hold it on both sides the same way.

Here, because i'm avoiding going and baking bread, let me show you how I normally am holding it while using it. Notice I will do anything to avoid being in the picture But you can see (i think) that the bump of the case i have actually gives me something to hold onto. It was bought to get SOMETHING on it so the kids didn't muck it up, but it turns out i really like it. Go figure!

OK. Now to bake bread. I'd probably hold off on buying a case until you have used it for a day or so - then you will have a better feel if the flap would get in your way or not.
