Isn't that what happens when you put the wrong password in 10 times? If you fat finger the password either 4 or 5 times it will disable for 1 minute. If you do it wrong again 5, minutes. And I assume the times increase dramatically for each wrong attempt.

So I assume when you get to 10 tries you might be looking at a massive amount of time equating to "You've entered the wrong password 10 times, we're disabling it for ever" as was originally set in the options.

OP you must know this...

Why does the screen say 5201731 minutes...and you put 5201799? 🙄

Anyway the only thing you can do is try to restore it...or wait almost ten years. Your call.

Because it had been over an hour until he made the pic post.

OP, restore it and it should be fixed.

Happened to my niece, had to do a restore. Make sure you back up and transfer purchases first.

Will backing up import all the music from the iPod into my iTunes library? cause i lost all my music when my Mac broke a few weeks ago.

Your Mac broke and now this?
yikes.... tread carefully.
what are you doing to piss off your devices? 😛

in all seriousness thats just garbage it could even do that to itself.
thats a serious bug or something

You say your mac broke some time ago- does that mean you don't sync it anymore?

Just 'cause plugging it into the last synced computer bypasses the p/w lock.

Unless it was the hard drive that broke, your data is still ok. Don't give it away or lose it.

There a program called sentui(?) that can transfer all you music on your iPod to your computer.

its senuti🙂

or if you use windows then download sharepod or iDump and backup all your songs...

or if you can't then wait patiently until it unlocks😀

^^^

How do you use Senuti when the iPod is locked as the OP said? 😕

I hope you can't. It would be a risk factor for people who secure their files with the passcode lock. 😎

You can still sync in iTunes, at least my niece could. So I assume you should be able to use senuti.

But presumably iTunes recognizes that this iPod has been synced to this system before, right? Where Senuti could be run on any system.
