MACCLESFIELD, England, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- A British couple said they are raising money for their dream wedding in Mexico by creating and selling their own pornographic films.

Lisa Brand, 34, and Tommy Barnes, 36, of Macclesfield, England, who have four children together, said they have thus far earned $2,163 from three pornographic films and are planning four more movies before their June wedding in Cancun, The Sun reported Wednesday.

"I have told my mum and most of my friends. They understand. It's always been our dream to have a fairytale wedding," Brand said.

The scenes created by the couple include a threesome, a hot wax scene inspired by Madonna's 1993 movie "Body of Evidence" and Brand spanking Barnes with a paddle.

"It's our five minutes of fame -- something to look back on when we're older. It has brought us closer together," Barnes said.

Five minutes of fame?

I think the viewers are going to be disappointed. ;)

Good for them. Weddings are expensive and divorces are no cheaper.

which is why i think its pointless to raise all this money for one day. want to get married? great. do it cheaply, imo. it can be done. don't get me wrong, i understand why they are doing it, and that they'll likely make a good amount of money too, but i'd put it towards a downpayment on a house or something rather than a wedding. (although thats my rationale for not seeing any point in expensive jewelry such as diamonds too)

Agreed, this may come back and hurt them in the future.

Don't worry, I'm sure the videos will continue long after the wedding goal is reached. I could be wrong, but people that find a good revenue stream tend to have a hard time leaving it behind. "We're doing porn to have the wedding of our dreams. Now we're doing porn to get a big enough house for our family. Oh, we still do porn so we can put our kids through college. What do you mean why are we continuing to do porn? Don't you know how hard it is to build up a nest egg to succesfully retire?" ;)

$2,163 from 3 films doesnt seem worth the embarrasment, hassle and everything else that comes along with what they are doing. They might want to reconsider their strategy if thats all they've made thus far from 3 movies.

Sounds true they must really suck as porn stars. now how will they deal with it when the divorce happens? that's tough porn movies with someone you hate. well now I know why they have not made much.

My thoughts exactly. Fair play if you're going to do this, but it's probably a good idea to keep anonymous so your grandkids etc don't find it amongst the family videos.

Agreed. My wedding cost <$300 on the beach. We saved the money for the honeymoon.

We saved the money for the honeymoon.

That is what we did as well. We went pretty inexpensive for the wedding and hog wild for the honeymoon.

Unfortunately, that's very true.

Agree.

Basically you have the big three:
Ring]
Wedding
Honeymoon

Each couple needs to do what works for them. Personally, I don't see a reason to go in debt.

Sounds good.

I went to a friend's wedding ceremony here in Japan that cost around $70,000. There were 200 attendees. Granted it was very nice. Awesome layout. The food at the reception was out of this world. We all brought changes of clothes for the various portions of the ceremony, and the 3 receptions.

I want to get married by an Elvis impersonator at a drive through chapel in Vegas and spend all my money on the honeymoon. That's the way to do it. No spending 20 grand on a 3 hour long wedding reception.

It's such a weird coincidence, because my dream wedding involves a housewife and a plumber as well.

With all that money they can barely cover the round trip for one of them, seriously. They need at least $8K but for real no less than $12K.

Indeed. And its not like Sex before marriage has not been done before. I think about 90% of people that have watched porn before, want to be a star in one - maybe not to the extremes that exist in porn, but non-the-less.

This couple had the bravery to explore their sexuality, and lust & chose to do so together, while most people don't even talk about their lust with those their already intimate with - let alone show or ask the NEED to be wanted/desired - are doomed to divorce or end up resenting each other.

Well they're certainly going about raising money the wrong way. If you're going to exploit something to raise money, exploit the children.

Definitely. I had a friend that produced porn and I know many people get trapped in the cycle of "easy money". Though, at the risk of sounding completely shallow, they (http://www.whatsonxiamen.com/news8839.html) are rather hideous and the likelihood of their videos being a huge success is very low. Good luck to them though.

The guy might be OK'ish in a Triga rugby showers setup… but alas, I have no idea where Lisa would fit.

Only 5 minutes? I think the punters are getting short changed.

You should see indian weddings. There is one to two events before the wedding, the wedding and the reception which is like another wedding. It's all just a big waste of money.

Sorry, I was a bit vague there. The former, our tape was in my wife's underwear drawer. The regular porn was out with our regular movies, they really went searching for it...

Me thinks she should spend the money getting her teeth fixed as it will be harder and harder for him to wake up to that smile every morning, and then just go to Paris for the weekend.

Is there any real need for them to even get married - save as to a cheap civil formality service option?

I mean, they both have plenty of miles on the clock, why make a big fuss over it?

They just sound like drama queens.
