My iphone 3GS has GIANT icons,i have tried to restore on iTunes, however
all returns to same, phone useless any one heard of this before?

Isn't there some accessibility setting that does this?

Zoom. With a 3 finger tap, you zoom in on everything, including the home screen. Its for people that cant see too well.
